A well-deserved congratulations to the winners of the Best Paper Award at the 19th BMEB ICFP 2025!!

The esteemed panel recognized two outstanding contributions that address the conference's critical theme: 'Geopolitics, Climate Risks, and Digitalization: The Future of Central Banking.'

Best Paper: 'Why Do Mutual Funds Hold ESG? Evidence from China' by Ping Zhang, Zixi Wang, Yezhou Sha, and Biao Shi. A timely contribution to understanding Climate Risks and sustainable finance.

Best Paper: 'A Natural Language Processing (NLP) Approach in Extracting Monetary Policy Stance: Emerging Market Spillover from Federal Reserve Communication' by Aris Zoleta. An innovative study using Digitalization to analyze Geopolitical policy spillover.

Hosted by Bank Indonesia Institute in collaboration with APAEA in Bali, the conference featured insights from global leaders like Governor Dr. Perry Warjiyo, Prof. Andrea F. Presbitero (IMF), Dr. Dong He (AMRO), Dr. Byungsik Jung (ADBI), and Dr. Ilhyock Shim (BIS).

Certificate of the 19th Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking International Conference and Call for Papers is now available!!

Bank Indonesia Institute - Bank Indonesia, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Applied Economics Association (APAEA), hosted the 19th Bulletin of Monetary Economics and Banking International Conference and Call for Papers (19th BMEB ICFP) 2025 on September 26th, 2025 in Bali, Indonesia. With the theme of "Geopolitics, Climate Risks, and Digitalization: The Future of Central Banking", the conference highlighted three major trends facing the economy: geopolitical and geoeconomic dynamics, climate change, and digitalization and technological disruption.

The conference was inaugurated by the Governor of Bank Indonesia, Dr. Perry Warjiyo. Plenary speakers at the conference include Prof. Andrea F. Presbitero from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dr. Dong He from the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), Dr. Byungsik Jung from the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), and Dr. Ilhyock Shim from the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). The plenary session was moderated by Prof. Paresh K. Narayan, from the Asia-Pacific Applied Economics Association (APAEA).
